Birthday ideas......? - how does cardiomyopathy make you feel

My child has his 6th Birthday spent in bed in the oncology unit has been treated in isolation in hospital, where I know how you feel.
In our case it was not allowed visitors - the only people allowed doctors in the room were my husband and I if we had a quiet birthday tea. The other problem is that only certain foods are allowed, but the hospital staff do not have that special with sandwiches and cakes.
I think if I were you, I just ask a friend or two, chooses the thoughtful people who understand that their tires are fast and not right and perhaps a DVD and pizza (for visitors) and get a new game for console games, everything you have.
